Overview

Come Find your Spark with Quartz! Join our Business Technology Office Team in a newly created Technology Business Office Analyst position. This position will collaborate across teams, leveraging analytical tools and analytical skills to support IT Audits, IT vendor performance, and budget/cost analysis within an technology environment to improve operations and vendor performance.

The Technology Business Office Analyst will use the following skills on a regular basis:

    Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Utilizing Advanced Microsoft Excel tools to create and maintain ongoing metrics and reports
  • Communication skills to work cross-functionally across the organization
  • Leverage understanding of IT functions to support IT audits, ensure IT vendor performance, maintain IT software renewal process, and provide data to ensure IT resources are being utilized to meet business objectives

Benefits:

  • Starting salary based upon skills and experience: $65,300 - $81,700 plus robust benefits package


Responsibilities

  • Project & Operational Support
    • Takes the lead on driving all software licensing renewals (including Microsoft and enterprise agreements) and oversees order/invoice processing.
    • Serves as a liaison between IT and Finance for Budget forecasting and monitoring financial records, ensuring that the company follows industry (IT and healthcare) and business rules.
    • Leads IT audits by gathering and analyzing data and providing recommendations to improve processing and mitigate risk.
    • Evaluates IT vendor performance to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations on purchasing decisions.
    • Plays a significant role in software and hardware inventory management coordination/updating.
  • Data Gathering and Analysis
    • Extracts and compiles data from internal systems, databases, and other sources to perform analysis using various tools like Power BI, Venminder, Excel, and project management tools.
    • Identifies trends and patterns, consolidates, and generates succinct findings to provide insights that will support operational efficiency.
    • Identifies problem areas, and proposes solutions, working closely with IT leaders.
    • Develops and regularly updates various metrics/dashboards.
    • Assists with the multitude of recurring IT audit responses, helps to templatize and streamline our responses to optimize and/or automate ongoing repetitive work.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience*
  • OR Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience*
  • OR High school equivalency with 8+ years of relevant experience*
    • *Relevant experience is defined as business/operations/technology and audit analysis or a related role
  • Must have experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Tableau
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, or creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understands data components necessary to provide reporting support and development
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse and distributed team; may lead small, low risk/low complexity projects
  • Ability to create strong relationships and provide positive experiences for staff and leaders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with multiple levels of an organization
  • Self-motivated and highly organized

This position will work in a hybrid capacity from our office in Madison, WI.
