Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Manager, Documents and Records Management with experience managing Documents and Records Management Programs in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!

Role Summary:

The Manager, Documents and Records Management is responsible for managing Controlled Document and Records Management processes and systems for the Operations Organization. This role will ensure Controlled Documents (ex. Operations policies, standards, manuals, procedures and guidance) and Records are organized, available, and maintained according to regulatory and Company standards and requirements.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:



  • Team Leadership: Manage members of the Documents and Records Management Team as related to their primary roles and responsibilities, as well as their goals and professional development.
  • Program Management:
  • Support efforts to assess, develop, and clearly communicate the documents and records management vision/strategy and its planned approach for meeting the needs of Buckeye's operations organization and supporting business objectives.
  • Lead the development of planned work efforts to achieve the Documents and Records Management strategy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure execution of Document and Records Management Program.
  • Manage the development, implementation, day-to-day execution, and continuous improvement of Document Management and Records Management policies, procedures, and associated supplemental guidance documents.
  • Work with Operations Services and Compliance teams to ensure Documents and Records Management processes and systems adhere to industry regulations.
  • Ensure effective integration of Management of Change and Document Management processes.
  • Serve as a Controlled Documents Management and Records Management SME ensuring the operations organization receives the appropriate level of training and guidance to ensure success.
  • Govern adherence to Document Management and Records Management policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Assess alignment to and identify opportunity for continuous improvement of Document and Records Management processes.



Systems Management:



  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Company's Document Management and Records Management Systems.
  • Ensure streamlined and effective Documents Management and Records Management systems configurations and process workflows for efficient management of Documents' and Records' lifecycles.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, preferably in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional, related experience.
  • 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Advanced experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel

Certificates & Licenses:



  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP)) are a plus.



Essential Functions:



  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.

  • Normal office environment and field operations environment.
