We have a Resident opportunity in the Detroit Metro area. Our residencies represent an important continuation of the education process as well as a glimpse into the day-to-day working environment of O&P practitioners at Ottobock. New practitioners apply the knowledge they have learned in a supervised real-world setting. You will be exposed to optimal patient care and learning of clinical and business information. Duties & Responsibilities 
     Help deliver quality orthotics and professional services in relation to patient care. Assist in actual fabrication as may be needed to assure, quality, fit function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient need. Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments. Instruct patients in use of device. Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients. Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities. Maintain all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete each day. Achieve and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes current "state of the art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis. Adhere to all safety regulations; compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; compliance with bloodborne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. Comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA responsibilities. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications 
     Master of Science in Orthotics & ProstheticsUnderstanding of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.Knowledge of componentry and its suitability and reliability for specific uses. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and to work effectively with a wide range of people, including, vendors, suppliers, providers, co-workers, and management.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion.Exceptional organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in resolving issues.Proficient computer skills; Proficient in MS Office and databases.A valid driver's license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle; must have a reliable vehicle.Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.Benefits
