The Ecommerce Channel Manager is responsible for driving the improvement of our online product presence and position on larger commerce websites to enhance user experience and drive incremental sales. This will be achieved through an analytical evaluation and development of a rationalized online product assortment of both current and new products. This person will work closely with individual account managers across multiple channels to ensure proper positioning, consistency and product alignment both online and in-store. This position will be involved in developing customer specific online promotional campaigns and online execution of new product launches. Highly cross-functional work will be expected with Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Digital Marketing teams to achieve annual company goals. This position will report to the Channel Marketing Leader.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

    Lead the development and execution of the IDEAL ecommerce strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
  • High collaboration, engagement and alignment with our top focus accounts and the respective IDEAL Account Manager or Representative to enhance online listings and ensure product accuracy, with the ability to provide updates and listing enhancements.
  • Analyze customer and internal reports on ecommerce activity and performance, discuss the findings with the cross-functional team and propose new strategies to improve results and rationalize item listings by account.
  • Recommend initial price positioning and item segmentation per account.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products to recommend and improve item content to engage customers through the final stages of the purchase path.
  • Propose, evaluate and execute budgeted promotional spend for online product campaigns with regular KPI reporting to planned program targets.
  • Provide actionable insights on major revenue blockers and missed opportunities for purposeful growth.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales and digital marketing team to establish a quarterly ecommerce dashboard highlighting performance against sales goals and key initiatives
  • Partner with digital creative team to build high-performing content and ensure there is a pipeline of new content for high-priority products
  • Update and maintain related areas of PIM software.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies to compete with other brands in the industry effectively.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing team to build a paid retail media strategy that supports business objectives
  • Collaborate with Marketing and IT departments to propose and integrate technologies that improve the online customer experience.
  • Support onboarding of new accounts and listing/content support of their ecommerce sites.
  • Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sales/marketing, business management, or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of dedicated ecommerce experience, preferably with a focus on managing 1P relationships with Amazon via Vendor Central. Experience with Seller Central (3P) is also valuable, as is work experience in online merchandising or transactional ecommerce websites. Experience managing category financials and forecasting is preferred.
  • Experience with Home Center Retailers ecommerce platforms, digital storefront management (The Home Depot, Lowe's Menards) and retail media networks is required.
  • Demonstrated product experience with durable goods is required. Electrical or professional trade-related products are a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and make presentations internally and externally with customers at the product/item level and technical (digital related) level.
  • Successful work experience incorporating a combination of product knowledge, sales collaboration, and technical aptitude related to ecommerce to succeed in this cross functional role.
  • Proven experience growing ecommerce businesses including setting annual goals and KPIs, orchestrating initiatives across functions internally and externally and measuring performance.
  • Experience using Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics is a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills, creative thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management, time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change often.
  • Highly analytical thinker that takes a data-driven approach to decision making
  • Self-starter that is willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in where needed to get the job done.
  • Hybrid role. Preferred location Chicago area/Western Suburbs,1 day per week in Sycamore, IL office.
  • Other travel 10-15% as required

The expected annual salary for this position is between $94,843.00 and $127,803.00 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
