PURPOSE:

The Andersen Menomonie Engineering team is seeking an individual with strong organizational skills to support current production lines. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. Secondary focus will be on developing, implementing new processes, and supporting product line extensions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze data; develop proposals focused on improvements and present to management. Improvement areas include safety, quality, delivery, cost, overall customer satisfaction, and reducing process variation.
  • Lead and/or support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new fabrication equipment and processes.
  • Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability of new product or extensions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events.
  • Ensure built in quality by using DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans.
  • Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines.
  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
  • Utilize effective lean process design techniques to optimize overall manufacturing system performance by providing innovative solutions that integrate within the value stream.
  • Exhibit persuasiveness to sell continuous improvement ideas to value stream management and delivery partners.
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of Automation and/or electrical experience.
  • Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling is a plus (AutoCad/Inventor)
  • 5+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitude
  • Some travel may be required, primary location Menomonie, WI

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $77,255 - $119,745 annually.

In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
