Position Summary:

The Operations Data Collections Specialist will be responsible for expanding our data collection efforts. They will help establish our continuous improvement efforts which require communication with all production areas. And will help maintain the systems by creating training and resources for each department that guides departmental efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work with production tracking software Redzone to digitize our current paper processes and help with any data collection requirements.
  • Help maintain and standardize our multi-site digital environment to make the sites compatible with future systems integration.
  • Assist in six sigma methodology meetings sharing your perspective on potential failure modes.
  • Facilitate data collection projects for Measurement Systems Analysis and other operational tests.
  • Train staff on how to use any newly created data submission templates.
  • Communicate with our Data Analyst about new data streams.
  • Manage additions and changes to products.
  • Able to travel to facilities in the greater Chicagoland area.
  • Maintain professional relationships with people at all levels of the company.


Knowledge and Experience:



  • Strong analytic skills a must with advanced use of excel.
  • Base level knowledge of database principles.
  • Familiarity with production flow, one piece flow, bottleneck calculations.
  • Familiarity with iPads/ Apple products.
  • Red Zone Experience a plus.
  • Continuous Improvement Experience.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Training / Continuous Improvement - Yellow Belt preferred.


Pay range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 depending on experience.

There is also a potential for a discretionary bonus this bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
