ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: CW Resources is seeking a motivated Assistant Facility Security Officer who is looking to learn about the Federal Security Clearance processes and can help guide our staff members (who predominantly consist of adults with disabilities and disabling conditions) through the TS/SCI eligibility process from start to finish. As the Assistant Facility Security Officer, you will operate under the guidance of the FSO and Security staff. Come work as part of a dynamic team! We are looking for someone who has the ability to set priorities, exhibits flexibility, can provide focused solutions, and has a focus on empowering individuals with disabilities.
- Support new and current staff members in obtaining their security clearances from beginning to end.
- Perform pre-screening interviews for security clearances.
- Uphold government and company security policies and procedures.
- Analyze complex personal situations and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist employees in getting to appointments and gathering necessary documentation.
- Conduct security briefings and educational programs.
- Monitor the continuing eligibility program for employees.
- Operate with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and effective follow-up.
- Use your excellent verbal and written skills to relay information clearly.
- Provide guidance to 20-30 employees at once while prioritizing tasks.
- Travel between 4 different offices and other locations in the DMV area.
- Ability to work under little supervision.
- Other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship (Required)
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word, and Excel. (Required)
- Ability to work directly with disabled individuals. (Required)
- Associate Degree or higher or 2-4 years of experience in facility security field (Preferred)
- Knowledge of DOD, DOE, or other industrial security programs. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's), and other national security standards. (Preferred)
- Experience utilizing DISS/NBIS, entering data into eAPP and use of other security databases. (Preferred)
BACKGROUND SCREENING Must submit to background check prior to hire and ongoing as dictated by contract. Must be able to pass criminal and drug screening processes to meet current contract eligibility requirements that apply. Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Security Clearance is required to access the primary worksite.
