THE JOB: AsNaturalist for Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and educate visitors about the fascinating world of marine life. By delivering top-notch guest experiences, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience. THE STARTING RATE:$16 THE SCHEDULE: On Call Hours of Operation: Daily 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM https://mandalaybay.mgmresorts.com/en/entertainment/shark-reef-aquarium.html THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Engages the public at various assigned locations throughout the aquarium, educating about the various species, habitats Promotes Shark Reef's conservation mission, goals, and objectives, and creates a positive guest experience Maintains both public and animal safety by monitoring visitor behavior, correcting where necessary, advising supervisor and/or animal care of abnormal situations Supports temporary or permanent secondary attractions through interpretation or maintaining guest experience based on exhibit-specific needs Supports Shark Reef Educators with field trips, classroom sessions, educational outreach, and special event days assisting with large groups of visitors of all ages
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Has prior experience as tour guide, animal educator, or in a similar zoo, aquarium, or museum setting Has a flexible schedule and ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Has a Biology, Environmental Science, or Education background Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
