ABOUT THE POSITION: We're seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, clean, and reliable operation of all equipment while driving continuous improvement through preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: You will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 10 years of experience, and 5+ years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience with an Associate's degree or Journeyman Apprenticeship will also be considered. You possess hands-on knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and preferably experience in plastics and electronics manufacturing. You're a strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement through metrics, PDCA, and 5S. You're also an effective leader, capable of coaching and developing a team while fostering collaboration across departments.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

You will PERFORM by:



  • Maintaining existing equipment via preventative and reactive maintenance that maximizes production equipment up-time by:

    • Optimizing use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
    • Continuing organizational transition from reactive to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
    • Building capabilities and competence in maintenance and technology to match current and future organization requirements
    • Leveraging metrics around maintenance effectiveness, including equipment uptime and maintenance response time
    • Reinforcing a customer-focused culture


  • Managing service parts and supplies required to minimize equipment downtime
  • Ensuring coordination of all maintenance PM's, work orders, and projects
  • Maintaining equipment and maintenance processes to OSHA standards, ISO, and IATF requirements


You will INNOVATE by:



  • Partnering with other technical leaders and department owners in selection of equipment, installation, and disposal
  • Driving problem solving in maintenance via PDCA and visual workplace, including the use of 5S
  • Developing and utilizing zone metrics to monitor and drive improvements (metric, pareto, action)
  • Partnering with manufacturing peers to constantly improve collaboration between maintenance and other technical support
  • Operating as a key thinker in a matrix organization


You will EXPLORE by:



  • Participating and supporting in key audit efforts, including ISO 9001/14001 and IATF
  • Assessing and preparing organization for improvements in key maintenance and equipment technologies
  • Attracting and selecting the right candidates aligned to a TPM environment
  • Developing associates via training, coaching, individual development plans, and/or correction and redirection by utilizing the performance management process
  • Providing maintenance leadership via participation in daily production meetings to understand and align production and equipment needs to maintenance capabilities

Education
Bachelors of Engineering (preferred)
Experience
10 years: Mechanical maintenance experience (required)
5 years: Leadership experience (required)
