Do you believe developing people is the key to unlocking operational excellence? At Landscape Forms, we're looking for a Manufacturing Group Leader who brings technical know-how, emotional intelligence, and a passion for growing others. This isn't a job for a taskmaster. It's a role for a leader, coach, and operations strategist-someone who understands that investing in people is the fastest route to customer satisfaction, efficiency, and innovation. What You'll Do As a Manufacturing Group Leader, you'll lead a group of 3-5 Manufacturing Process Leaders and 35-60 team members across critical production areas. - Leadership Coaching: Empower Manufacturing Process Leaders to become effective people leaders, problem solvers, and change agents.
- Process Ownership: Embed lean thinking, standard work, and PDCA methodology into daily operations.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a Kaizen mindset. Celebrate small wins. Push boundaries with your team.
- Strategic Execution: Balance short-term production goals with long-term capability building-safety, takt adherence, quality, and productivity included.
Why This Role Is Different You won't just fill schedules-you'll build bench strength. You'll inspire a group to take ownership, adapt to change, and exceed expectations. You'll spend your day:
- Mentoring and developing leaders.
- Leading improvement events and cross-training efforts.
- Helping people understand the "why" behind the work.
- Making your production area a model of operational excellence (and a tour-ready environment).
Who We're Looking For A resilient, confident leader who:
- Gets results through people. You know how to drive accountability while maintaining respect and trust.
- Builds trust fast. You communicate with clarity and humility, and you're open to learning from others.
- Has a manufacturing mindset. You understand how operations, quality, and lean systems connect-and how to optimize them.
- Loves improvement. You're excited by challenges and know how to get others fired up about change.
What You Bring
- A 2- or 4-year degree in business, engineering, or technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with light assembly, welding, and powder coat processes.
- Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI frameworks (Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a gift for coaching others.
- Experience leading diverse teams through change and ambiguity.
Success Looks Like:
- Improved team engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Clear, upward performance trends in efficiency, on-time delivery, and quality
- Well-developed, ready-to-promote Manufacturing Process Leaders
- A culture of safety, consistency, and accountability
What You'll Experience You'll work in a hands-on production environment-noisy, occasionally hot, and always dynamic. You'll be up and moving, engaged with your team, leading from the front. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. Metrics You'll Influence
- Work Center Efficiency
- On-Time Shipments
- Downtime and Interruptions
- Budget & Labor Management
- Defect Reduction
- Team Engagement & Development
