Description Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as Blend Set Up on our processed Loaf Cheese line on the Day Shift Job Duties Responsible for the relief of Set Up Operators and Grinder Operators. Responsible for the staging of cheese barrels Record keeping of all lot numbers used for the ingredients and barrels of cheese. Must be able to hang barrels and assist with barrel grinding and giving breaks in area. Maintaining fat tank full of butterfat. Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain a license. Responsible for and verifying the opening of all barrels and blocks of cheese according to blend recipe. Record keeping of all lot numbers used for the ingredients and barrels of cheese. Making sure all mold is scrapped form cheese before going to the grinder. Feeding and the operation of the grinder. Communicate with the lab, cooker operator, blend set-up, lead person and supervisor. Work in a safe and proficient manner (Lockout / Tagout of grinder). Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion throughout entire shift. Forklift driving necessary. Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement. Must be able to organize multiple tasks. Able to work in a safe and proficient manner. Perform miscellaneous sanitation duties as assigned by your supervisor. Other requirements Must demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to follow written communication. Must demonstrate a commitment to both food and employee safety. Physical capabilities Able to lift up to 80 lbs. Able to lift 60-70 lbs. occasionally.
