As the Supervisor, you will schedule, assign, and monitor the work of GIS technicians and/or contractors while managing work through distribution of assignments and ensuring prompt and accurate processing of work requests. Who You Are: A related Bachelor's degree and 3+ years directly related experience OR an Associate degree and 5+ years directly related experience OR a High school diploma/GED and 7+ years directly related experience. Directly Related Experience includes:
Strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills. Contract interpretation, interpersonal, problem-solving skills. Project and time management skills. Organization and strong computer skills. You are: Able to drive and have valid Driver's License. You can: Motivate employees. Make decisions independently. Handle constant changing and emerging priorities. Schedule and prioritize work. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Geographical Sciences, Geography, Information Sciences) and 5+ years directly related experience. 5+ years previous experience in natural gas operations, construction work methods, or maintenance and repair. Experience with ESRI ArcMap, ArcEditor, ArcCatalog, Televent ArcF, SmallWorld. Experience supervising others. Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
