THE JOB:
The purpose of the Assistant General Manager is to assist the General Manager in providing direction and leadership for the Assistant Manager and the Restaurant Service team consistent with the MGM brand. They share responsibility for: leading the team to achieve the operational and financial goals of the venue; monitoring the performance, scheduling and training of the staff; executing initiatives as implemented by property F&B leadership; maintaining the facilities in accordance with MGM Resorts service standards; and ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience. All duties are performed in accordance to company policies and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE:

The compensation range for this role $75k-$80k annual

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Run the Restaurant: Oversee the daily operations, including managing budgets, staff schedules, inventory, guest service, and marketing efforts to ensure the restaurant is profitable and successful. Work on business goals with the General Manager and help develop strategies to meet targets.
  • Support HR Tasks: Help the General Manager with hiring, training, and developing staff. Create a positive work environment that values teamwork, recognition, and employee satisfaction. Ensure all practices follow company policies, employment laws, and agreements.
  • Engage with Guests: Frequently interact with customers to ensure they have a great dining experience. Handle complaints professionally and manage guest feedback using approved company methods. Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
  • Implement Policies and Standards: Make sure staff follows rules, procedures, and training programs. Ensure the restaurant complies with health and cleanliness standards and completes required company training.
  • Stay Knowledgeable: Be familiar with the restaurant's menu, drinks, and equipment to perform duties effectively.
  • Other Duties: Take on additional tasks as needed to support the restaurant's success.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Two (2) years of Prior Experience managing Asian Restaurant
  • Previous experience in managing high volume fine dining Asian restaurant
  • Experience Approving weekly payroll
  • Lead and Manage daily restaurant operations including; fiscal budgets, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control and guest service standards
  • Knowledge of Mandarin is preferred.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$59,900.00 - $99,800.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's incentive plan.
