Company Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Manager to oversee and manage our day programs throughout Connecticut for adults with disabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the program, leading a dedicated team, and maintaining strong community and employer partnerships.
- Oversee and plan activities related to community services, ensuring alignment with the program's goals and contractual obligations.
- Able to go between two of our sites, (Watertown, CT and Bristol, CT)
- Lead efforts to meet and exceed program expectations.
- Contribute to grant applications and Request for Proposals (RFPs) to secure funding that enhances services and opportunities for the individuals we serve.
- Lead, direct, and supervise staff to ensure effective performance of assigned services and related activities.
- Administer progressive discipline as needed, while fostering a supportive and high-performance work environment.
- Coordinate ongoing staff training and professional development initiatives, ensuring that employees stay informed on best practices, regulatory updates, and organizational expectations.
- Assist in the preparation of program budgets and goal setting, ensuring effective fiscal management and adherence to cost center requirements.
- Oversee and control all program costs, seeking opportunities for efficiency and sustainability.
- Cultivate and maintain community work sites and strong relationships with employers to promote agency services and create valuable work opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure all program activities comply with CARF, Department of Labor, and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in compliance reviews and audits, providing necessary training to staff to meet regulatory requirements and expectations.
- Prepare and submit required reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate, timely, and in accordance with program and funding requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success and growth of the program.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Valid Driver's license
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation, Social Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of (5) years' experience working in program management, particularly in services for individuals with disabilities (Preferred)
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience, including team building and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CARF and Department of Labor standards (Preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control (Preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to the dignity and empowerment of individuals with disabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Rehabilitation, Social Services, or a related field.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding through RFPs.
- Previous experience in developing and maintaining employer relationships for supported employment programs.
- Physical & Psychological Management Training
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certified
Physical Demands:
- The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds. There may be times when the role involves physically assisting clients or staff during activities.

- The work environment will primarily be office-based, with regular visits to community sites and work environments. These may include local businesses, community centers, or other outdoor venues where client activities are held.

- Exposure to typical office conditions, as well as occasional exposure to outdoor environments depending on community-based activities. The role may involve occasional exposure to clients in various emotional or behavioral states and requires the ability to manage such situations effectively and professionally.
