Job Description: Accounting Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join Odyne, a manufacturing business specializing in developing and selling hybrid systems for larger trucks, which has a fun team-orientated culture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, managing audits and tax preparations, and establishing manufacturing work orders. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, general ledger, and financial reporting. · Prepare cash forecasts and budgets, and monitor account balances. · Prepare requirements for audits, tax return preparation (corporate tax, sales and use tax, property tax), and various other reporting requirements. · Interface with banking, insurance, and audit/tax firm contacts. · Serve as an ERP contact for the company. · Support ERP applications including inventory management, bill of material preparation, shop order management, job costing management, purchasing/receiving, and customer order processing. · Serve as a human resources contact for the company. · Administer group benefit programs, corporate workers' compensation, and property and casualty insurance programs. · Complete accounting and compliance requirements for government grants and private projects. · Support team members with various costing, pricing, and accounting analysis, document review and preparation, and process management projects. · Maintains access to government portals or websites for submitting government project expenses Qualifications: · Ability to work independently to complete all job functions. · 7-10 years of prior public accounting and manufacturing accounting experience. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · 5 years or more of supervisory experience. · Thorough knowledge of ERP system workings and Microsoft Office products.
