WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Student - Warehouse (Student Laborer-General) in our Wausau, Wisconsin location. This position will start in May or June, works full-time, 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday during the summer months. Starting pay: $18.27 Job Summary Student Laborers perform duties (i.e. Coal & Yard, Plant Lab Duties, Indoor Cleaning & Maintenance, Outdoor Maintenance, Service Line & Underground Electrical Inspections, Clerical/Customer Service, etc.) as assigned by the department. Student laborers work may be performed in the power plants, hydro plants, service center, warehouse, and other field locations. Job Responsibilities Warehouse activities within a service center, includes picking, packaging, shipping materials. Offers a variety of work that will appeal to those interested in learning. Problem solving, taking initiative and working within a team environment. Clerical (e.g. updating orders in the system, etc.). Operating standard equipment such as picking carts, forklift and reach trucks. Training will be provided. All other laborer duties as assigned. Could include some cleaning, painting and providing support to other groups. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High School diploma, GED, or HSED. Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a technical, associate, bachelor, or master degree. A valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse setting. Previous experience stocking or inventory management. Previous experience operating equipment. End Date: 02/16/2025 Minimum Posting Range: $18.27 Maximum Posting Range: $20.37 The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
