Electrolux Design is building a world-class design team with the task to design future home appliances that deliver great sustainable user experiences for people around the world. The global Electrolux Design team consists of over 200 designers located in 6 different locations, working across the different experience areas of Taste, Care, and Wellbeing.As a member of our Design Team, you will contribute to our bigger goal of making a positive impact on people's everyday lives. We are currently looking for a talented CMF Designer who will apply their skills to ideate, visualize, and develop proposals for colors, materials, and finishes. Someone with a keen interest in material innovation, and with a focus on always finding the best sustainable solution. The chosen candidate will be part of a multi-functional design team that will design the future of Electrolux Fabric Care and Dish Care appliances. You will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina and you will be part of a global CMF team, collaborating with designers located both at the Electrolux HQ in Stockholm, Sweden and in the other Design Studios. Collaboration and alignment towards common goals are important, but at the same time you will have the ability to work independently and be part of evolving the CMF expression within the Care Design team. A typical day at work As a CMF designer at Electrolux, you will be involved in every aspect of the design process from initial ideas to the implementation.This includes CMF and trend research, material innovation and storytelling, development of CMF assets, and execution of final color, materials, and finishes for production through prototyping, user testing, and the development of new materials.You will need to be highly detail-oriented, creative, and committed to working in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams. To succeed, you will need to have active collaborative and communicative approach to build strong partnerships within Design, R&D, Purchasing teams, and external suppliers. Main responsibilities:
