ROLE

Responsible for welding and repairing containers in safe and effective operating conditions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF - CONTAINER SHOP PERSONNEL

• Schedules, maintains , services and repairs of equipment and containers used to recycle, dispose and haul industrial commercial and residential waste; welds repairs of equipment.
• Rebuilds containers that require removal and replacement; paints and decals the new containers
• Provides systematic safety inspections of containers to establish standards.
• Performs yard clean-up and maintenance.
• May operate forklift and other yard equipment as required.
• Perform daily inventories.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and in compliance with the established protocols.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a trade school preferred.
• Waste and recycling industry experience preferred.
• Two years of welding and fabrication experience preferred .
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Driver's license required; a valid class B driver's license preferred .
