Job Description

Kearney & Company is seeking a new Senior Financial Data Manager! Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work on different initiatives (Finmart-Financial DataWarehouse, G-Invoicing)
  • Upgrade/Maintenance of the Finmart (Financial DataMart)
  • Assist with the training and testing scenarios for the G-Invoicing initiative
  • Analyze and maintain logical and physical database designs using various tools (i.e. Erwin)
  • Administer SQL Server 2016 or more recent versions
  • Manage, update, and test database servers (Oracle, Microsoft, etc.)
  • Leverage tools such as MS Visual Studio, MS Access, and ODBC connections to manage the data environment
  • Automate processes by creating and customized reports for OFM (Ah-Hoc reports)
  • Data retrieval and presentation skills to include ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load)
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile a large volume of financial transactions (i.e., Statement of Disbursement)
  • Research and analyze complex financial data issues and deliver client recommendations
  • IT Audit - SOC 1 Report review (Complementary User Entity Controls), Internal Control Review (Delegation and User Roles, System User Access)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or related field
  • At least one active industry-standard database administration certification such as: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Database Administration, CompTIA Server+, or similar system-related certifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience with writing complex and efficient SQL queries
  • Understanding of the ETL paradigm
  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining data warehouses
  • Strong experience with database servers like Oracle or SQL Server
  • Experience with server updates, patch management, compatibility testing, and performance monitoring
  • Experience in server testing and optimization (RAM, CPU, and storage capacity)
  • Familiarity with managing virtual environments (Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Access and Visual Studio
  • Experience with architectural design for Entity Relationships and Star Schemas
  • Experience creating and customizing ad-hoc reports
  • Ability to document complex technical processes and system configurations
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis identifying issues and alternative solutions
  • Ability to analyze large financial data sets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Agency Suitability (requires US citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of federal finance and/or accounting experience
  • Relevant active certifications such as: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience with the Momentum Financials ERP system
  • Familiarity with implementing G-Invoicing
  • Experience supporting software development lifecycles such as waterfall, spiral, and evolutionary prototypes
  • Experience with metadata designs in OLAP systems such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Cognos
  • Understanding of Oracle drivers and how to install and reference them in ODBC connections

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
