Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday - Friday:8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Responsible for providing key support in coaching and training for branch colleagues. This role will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, training and analyzing branch sales colleagues in a variety of roles (Branch Manager, Banker, Universal Banker); specifically tasked with working alongside branch colleagues to provide sales coaching in an effort to increase overall performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include designing and facilitating individual and team training courses, skill builds, and preparing educational material as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops proactive, strategic ideas through thought leadership to assist colleagues with meeting sales goals, uncovering customer needs and training to the sales playbook.
  • Emphasis on conducting side by side coaching to retail branch colleagues across the bank footprint and provides detailed summary of coaching plans to leadership. This includes joint calls and appointments with customers.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert in supporting sales staff based on best practice sales techniques and defined sales process for retail branches.
  • Proactively reaches out to the sales team to uncover inefficiencies in navigation through platforms and processes with special attention being paid to new colleagues and helping them become productive in a timely manner.
  • Partners with leadership to identify and analyze areas of sales opportunities for products and/or services in support of business goals; monitors the overall effectiveness throughout the sales process.
  • Regularly schedules sales training and workshops and/or skill build clinics focused on a variety of topics; products, services, sales process, sales conversations, customer experience, etc.
  • Develops and maintains training materials related to sales initiatives including presentations, job aids, participant handouts, virtual class materials, and other resources.
  • Ability to report and present to management learnings and efficiencies that can be gained by working directly with branch sales colleagues in the field.
  • Ability to travel to retail branch offices around the bank footprint, including bank headquarters.
  • Prepares newly hired branch colleagues for sales process by developing individual coaching plans.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Highly motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and organization.
  • Requires S.A.F.E. Act certification. Proof of registration with the registry and verification of a unique identifier as established under the guidelines of the S.A.F.E. Act is required upon hire and/or must be obtained prior to performing the duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator, as defined by the Act. This registration must be maintained annually in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Operates a keypad device: 50-75% of the day; operates electronic equipment: 25% of the day. This position does require travel to alternate locations (local) 60-75% and overnights 10% of the time. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, and legs/feet. This job requires standing 25% of the day; sitting 75% of the day; walking 10-25% of the day. Utilizes fingers and manual dexterity skills for typing on a frequent basis, up to 50% of the business day. Possess the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 75% of the business day. Routinely lifts 10 pounds a couple of times per day to move computer equipment and supplies as it relates to travel. This position can be performed at multiple locations. Education:

Requires a four-year degree or equivalent in a business-related field such as finance, business administration or accounting.

Experience:

Ten plus years of general business experience required, five to ten years of specialized experience with proven sales success required. Successful completion of the retail training program required.
