- As a key member of the JASSM Agile Development organization, the Release Train Engineer will be a servant leader and guide for the Agile Release Train (ART).
- This highly visible role will coordinate, facilitate, and help to guide the constituent ART and organization toward productive outcomes.
- The Release Train Engineer (RTE) possesses a systems view of the entire development and delivery process.
- Ensuring there is an environment which enables success including goals, measures, coaching, and communication, among others.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the 'team of teams.'
- Assist in tracking the execution of features across teams Facilitate scaling meetings (scrum of scrum, product owner sync, overall retrospectives, solution demos)
- Help manage risks and dependencies; escalate and track impediments Encourage collaboration between teams.
- Providing continuity of engineering development plans, metrics and deliveries across multiple cross-functional product teams.
- Execute retrospectives and drive the teams to implement the process improvements identified during those meetings.
- Manage, escalate, and drive resolution of program risks and dependencies with key stakeholders product ownership, product leadership, scrum teams, system teams and program stakeholders.
- Facilitating communication across teams at all levels to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Facilitating the advancement of agile principles and values and embodying an Agile mindset
- Execute agile best practices in conjunction with technical best practices advocated by the JASSM Solution Team
- Facilitate cross-product team agile events (e.g., PI Planning, Product Sync, System Reviews, etc.).

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 8 years of experience in 1 or more Agile Leadership roles (Product Management, Product Owner, RTE) on a large Agile development effort.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Model Based System Engineering, Requirements Management and the Software Development Lifecycle
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience developing, testing and deploying embedded systems
- Experience with the DoD acquisition lifecycle.
- SAFe RTE Certification, SAFe Scrum Master Certification
