The Product Marketing Manager - Retail Foodservice and CPG will be responsible for leading go-to-market plan for new and existing foodservice programs, products and private label for McLane Company. This role will work closely with merchandising, sales, technology, and ecommerce teams to execute product marketing plans to support company goals.

This position is located in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office four days a week. Interested candidates should be within a 50-mile radius from Temple, TX. For those outside the Temple area, the position will be hybrid-remote and will require the candidate to report and work from the office several times throughout the year, including department-wide meetings, tradeshows, and events.

The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 15% of your base annual salary. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Execute and lead a strategic go-to-market plan for new and existing products, including naming, messaging and core assets development - ensuring consistency in the messaging, branding, content, and look-and-feel of all external communications and marketing materials.
  • Be an expert at McLane Company's customers/personas across all segments to build differentiated, value-based messaging that connects customer pain points with product-led use cases/solutions.
  • Be responsible for go-to-market strategies, customer and competitive intelligence as well as marketing program enablement.
  • Develop sales enablement materials that equip the sales team to position McLane's products effectively and articulate the value proposition clearly. Materials and collateral include research, presentations, sell sheets, webinars, web pages, product videos, whitepapers, blogs, and other content/assets.
  • Document the customer journey and create thoughtful buyer and user personas to leverage and create resonant marketing, sales enablement, and messaging.
  • Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with customers and differentiates McLane's products.
  • Accompany the efforts to connect with customers and uncover insights that lead to breakthrough messaging, differentiated go-to-market tactics, and expedited product development.
  • Accompany research efforts to keep abreast of trends in the market, buyers/buying criteria, and the competition.
  • Drive powerful product launches to customers and prospects.
  • Gather feedback from the market on use cases, buying criteria and required functionality.
  • Proactively act as a champion of the foodservice and private label teams and build organizational energy,
    understanding and enthusiasm behind the power and capabilities of our programs.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree (communications, marketing, advertising, or business, preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product marketing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as a willingness to learn other software as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, Teamwork (or other project management software/tools)
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all clients, vendors, and all levels of the internal organization.
  • Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and collaborate cross-departmentally.
