Summit Bodyworks, a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, moving trucks and other specialty vehicles has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Engineering Production Support - this is an entry level position. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. Our Engineering Support Coordinators are responsible for working closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and manage work orders to production.
  • Verifying materials on hand for work order completion.
  • Coordinates directly with Project managers, Fabrication managers, and Warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Process PO requests for subcontracted processing.
  • Support customer inquiries for parts sales via phone, email, and other approved methods.
  • Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Climbing in and out of vehicles.
  • Occasional stooping and bending.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing, inventory management, or related fields.
  • Fabrication experience and mechanical knowledge are a plus.
  • Ability to read production drawings.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Type: Hourly
  • Compensation Range:$22.00-$25.00
  • Bonus Eligibility: No
  • Shift: 1st Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Reports To: Engineering Production Administrator
  • Closing Date: Open until filled.
