The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine anticipates hiring a fixed term faculty member to expand the department and accommodate clinical needs in Chapel Hill, N.C. We anticipate hiring a full-time addiction medicine physician to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing addiction medicine services. It is not required that this faculty member be a psychiatrist. Duties also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. Faculty rank will be Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor.

Applicants for this position must have an MD/DO and be BC/BE in either addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry. Applicants must be eligible for North Carolina medical licensure.

The successful applicants will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a diverse population of patients. Completion of a fellowship in either addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry is preferred but is not a requirement for this position.
