M1 is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager with the following knowledge and experience:

Position Description:
* Supports and drives a culture of continuous improvement across the contract.
* Operationalizes and supports the Continuous Improvement Director's guidance and intent.
* Implements and manages the Continuous Improvement Program and standardization of processes.
* Ensures Continuous Improvement events support Operational Excellence, Business Process Excellence, and/or People
Excellence.
* Facilitates and/or directs Kaizen/rapid improvement events to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline
work flow processes.
* Appropriately applies Lean Six Sigma/Theory of Constraints (LSS/TOC) and other methodologies.
* Promotes "hands on", systematic approach to problem solving.
* Serves as a mentor to Continuous Improvement Specialists, a resource to various M1 program managers and directors,
and a critical member of the M1 University Team.
* Assists with the hiring, training, and further educational planning of Continuous Improvement Specialists to ensure
appropriate qualifications and certifications.
* Ensures processes are in accordance with current regulations, legal requirements, and industry trends.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements:
* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt from a major certifying agency preferred.
* Successfully completed formal training conducted by the U.S. Army or Armed Forces equivalent, or training courses conducted
by industry or civilian institutions in continuous improvement methods.
* Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position and obtain the level
of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional
and non-confrontational attitude.
* Must be able to lead Continuous Improvement Team in the absence of the Continuous Improvement Director.
* Must be able to analyze data.
* Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to effectively and diplomatically communicate in written and verbal formats across the workforce.
* Must be able to build consensus across functional areas and shifts.
* Must be able to build interpersonal relationships within a maintenance, repair, and overhaul and business
environments.
* Actively utilize a "Collaborative Team Approach" in all situations.
* Proactive style that ensures the completion of projects despite obstacles.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or five years' experience in aviation maintenance preferred.
Physical demands and environmental conditions
* This classification activity is typically accomplished in an office environment and as such requires the scope of
physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities. Typical physical demands or activities
include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, reaching and walking. May be required to lift
objects which normally will not exceed 10 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close
vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
