The Senior Network Engineer, reporting to the Manager, Network & Telecom, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure that supports Nutrien's global operations. This role will collaborate with various operating segments and regions to develop innovative solutions that meet connectivity and performance requirements, while also providing guidance and support to our operational teams. The position requires strong collaboration across IT teams, working with multiple technologies to build positive relationships and advance the IT vision and roadmap.

What you will do:



  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures that support our global operations, ensuring optimal performance, redundancy, and scalability.
  • Lead project teams from concept and execution to close out and transition to operations.
  • Work closely with multiple operating segments, regional teams, and IT departments to address connectivity needs, share best practices, and drive solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and standards, ensuring all infrastructure complies with global regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance network performance, improve processes, and integrate new technologies as part of a broader IT roadmap.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams and configuration specifications.
  • Design and implement operational support models for newly integrated technologies.
  • Stay abreast of new networking technologies and practices to enhance network capabilities and support organizational growth.



What you will bring:



  • Degree/diploma in Computer Scienceor related field. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Expertise with core network technologies (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs) and protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • Proven track record designing and implementing complex network solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
  • Expertise in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Knowledge of public peering, internet exchanges, IP transit, and public IP design.
  • Experience with process control networks in industrial environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, managing multiple competing priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Strong commitment to learning, adaptability, and a proactive approach to tackling challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, PCNSE) preferred.



Compensation & Benefits:

$106,800 - $146,850USD. This range is estimated forSenior Network Engineerin Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan [INSERT LTIP where applicable], consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Details will be discussed through the application process.
