Position Summary The School of Nursing is looking to hire Student Research Workers to join an innovative pilot project on examining disparities in surgical access and outcomes using the New York claims dataset. The Student Research Worker will have background in public health, statistics, nursing, informatics or closely related fields. One year of previous research experience is preferred. The Student Research Worker will report directly to the PI and assist with project-related tasks including but not limited to data management and analysis. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: - Data management and analysis. - Data cleaning - Data management - Statistical coding This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding. Minimum Qualifications Requires at least a bachelor's degree and current enrollment at Columbia University. Preferred Qualifications - Computer fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel. - Master's degree in public health, statistics, nursing, informatics or closely related fields. - At least one year of previous research experience. - Experience with SAS or Stata statistical software, data management and analysis.
