Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, collections, and the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The position will report to the Controller and work closely with the Accounting and Operational teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cash Management:


    • Monitor and manage the company's cash operations, ensuring operating and restricted cash are accounted for timely and accurately
    • Oversee daily and weekly reporting of cash activities.


  • Accounts Payable:


    • Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and expenses.
    • Work with purchasing and operations on credit applications and vendor setup.


  • Accounts Receivable:


    • Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and maintaining customer relationships.
    • Review and approve new customer applications and terms.


  • Payments and Collections:


    • Ensure timely processing of payments and effective collection of outstanding receivables.
    • Manage the weekly reporting of past due reporting to the organization.


  • General Ledger:


    • Assist the Controller in managing the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements as needed.


  • Team Management:


    • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.


  • Ensure compliance with Internal controls, policies and procedures.


  • Create, update and review standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc/special projects and analysis as required


Position Requirements

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of Accounting experience required, management experience preferred
  • Project based business experience preferred


Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities



  • Proven ability to deliver strong results and manage tight deadlines


  • Advanced organization and analytical skills


  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance partners.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
