This position will be paid a base pay of $40,000 plus commissions. Salary posted reflects estimated* pay for base pay plus commissions. Summary: The Wealth Advisor/Officer position is full time financial planning and sales production role for PeoplesWealth Advisory Group. This position requires an affiliation with our third party broker, Raymond James Financial Services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Provides investment advisory services for existing clients. Develops prospects from current bank customers, referral leads, and other sources. Determines customers' financial services needs and prepares proposals to sell services. Provides clients with information and advice on purchase or sale of securities, financial services, and investment plans. Develops and maintains relationships with clients.
- Executes purchases and sales of equity and debt securities, including shares of certain registered open-end management companies, and certain insurance products for the Companies' customers.
- Attends community activities to increase awareness of the bank's investment services and to develop new business prospects. Makes presentations on financial services to groups to attract new clients.
- Attends banking center meetings as requested to educate associates on investment services. Provides investment training as needed for the retail banking centers.
- Updates managers on investment activities. Meets with Retail banking center management.
- Attends business calls with managers or other partners when investment services are targeted.
- Complies with all rules and regulations established by Raymond James and PeoplesBank.
- Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations. Complies with Bank Policies and Procedures. Adheres to departmental and bank-wide service
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Generally requires a Bachelor's degree plus one to three years of relevant experience. Skills needed:
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and sound decision making
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to define broad problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Certifications, Licenses and/or registrations: FINRA licenses required including Series 7, 63, 65 or 66. Life Insurance licenses.
