What You Will Do:
Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Builds appropriate shipping crates for shipping by road, sea, or air; prepares shipments by assembling, packing, and loading; installs protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Enters addresses and shipment details into the computer system and labels all shipments. Determines the method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment; works with custom broker freight forwarder. Completes any pertinent customs paperwork for international shipments. Verifies identifying information and quantity and condition of items. Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage area; stacks or piles materials. Contributes to the department's continuous improvement culture. Operates a forklift or other machinery to complete tasks. Maintains confidentiality of all matters. Other duties as required

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite - Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; does well in technical courses and seminars Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis without the assistance of a lifting device Able to work overtime when needed, typically on Friday
