Job Title: Payment Processor Pay: $19/hr Start Date: 2/3/25 Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-5pm Job Description: Summary: The Payment Processor is responsible for accurately and timely processing customer mortgage payments to the servicing system daily. This position will work collaboratively with business units to ensure company guidelines and processes are met. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Post customer payments and payoffs accurately and timely, either manually or electronically, to the servicing system of record. * Perform reconciliation of all posted items. * Disperse checks and perform reconciliation of disbursements. * Contact attorneys, title agents, and borrowers for short payoffs. * Set up and maintain ACH accounts. * Work on pending and exception items. Maintain and process daily exception reports to minimize company risk. * Maintain reversal of posting transactions (e.g., NSF and reversals). * Scan mortgage payments into the servicing system and depository bank. * Open and process mail. Receive, track, and document incoming Cash Management items. * Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures. * Conduct data analysis and reconciliation of data pertaining to payment applications. * Perform root cause analysis to minimize risk to the company. * Make individual decisions with documented fact-based decisions within authority level. * Conduct research and remediation based on minimal data for research. * Adjust and learn quickly. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: * Ability to identify items on a check * Mortgage payments experience is a plus * Must know what a mortgage is * Banking/teller experience is preferred Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
