Summary:


This position is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing and maintaining an effective quality assurance program(s) ensuring that all products meet or exceed company and customer requirements and standards.

Responsibilities:



  • Compiles and verifies a variety of documents (purchase orders, material certifications, customer drawings, etc.) in preparation for customer source inspections.


  • Reviews purchase orders and sales order flows to ensure that the quality procurement flowdowns are well defined and comply with internal and contractual requirements.


  • Evaluates refurbishment requests and generates inspection reports for customers with input from manufacturing, engineering and quality functions.


  • Serves as a member of the Material Review Board; reviews non-conformance reports and provides quality assurance approval for dispositions.


  • Creates and updates Quality Control forms (QCFs) used in conjunction with Final Inspection Drawings to record dimensions and data pertinent to each part number in support of AS9100 requirements.


  • Participates in a variety of special projects in support of the QA function; makes recommendations and updates to QA policies, procedures, and documentation to correct known issues.


  • Compiles and verifies customer deliverables, including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) records, material certifications, and certificates of compliance, prior to completed assembly shipments.


  • Maintains manufacturing-generated first piece / in-process inspection and permanent records for ease of reference and review.


  • Assists the Gauge Lab and Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS) with maintaining the factory TipQA database.


  • Performs other duties as may be assigned or requested.


  • Physically mobile and able to safely perform routine tasks (standing, sitting, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs)





Requirements:



  • Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance or a related technical field. Highly experienced candidates may substitute work history in lieu of formal education.


  • Minimum of one year quality assurance experience or five years' work experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Familiarity with the Aerospace industry is a plus.


  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical and numerical aptitude. Familiarity with statistics is preferred.


  • High degree of computer literacy, detail oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization.
