PC/LAN ADMINISTRATOR (IT) Cumberland Hospital for Children & Adolescents is seeking a PC/LAN Administrator to join our wonderful team! Our peaceful 100 acre campus is within an easy commute between Richmond and Williamsburg. Cumberland is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including a Residential Treatment Center. We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illness, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues. Position Summary The position is responsible for providing support for hospital management of information systems duties. Basic duties include configuration, installation and upgrading of hardware and software networking, firewall configuration and maintenance, server administration, surveillance camera system installation and daily maintenance. Other responsibilities include advising staff on the use of computer equipment (hardware and software) and advising the facility staff on general PC related issues. The PC/LAN Administrator also serves as the Health Information Security Officer, overseeing the maintenance of the HIPAA Compliance's information security policies and procedures, leads security risk assessment efforts; leads disaster recovery and business continuity planning; and creates and manages the hospital HIPAA security awareness and training program to meet federal and state mandated information security requirements. EXPERIENCE: Two or more years of experience in systems maintenance and HMS systems, with strong preference for experience in a healthcare environment. Proficiency with computerized databases, spreadsheets and word processing is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to move throughout the facility independently. Must be able to lift and maneuver objects and computer hardware which includes kneeling, bending, reaching, pulling, crouching and pushing up to 50 lbs. INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: Good communication skills necessary to positively interact with facility personnel. Must have the ability to adapt and respond to a variety of situations and activities with a sense of urgency. |
