Job Summary

Graduates will go through the GKN Aerospace Global Graduate Program. This is a rotational program for two years around the business; graduates are involved in and leading real-life Ops/Strategic projects, and gaining hands-on experience in their chosen discipline.

Participants in the program will engage in a Global Development Program designed to develop their problem-solving, teamwork and leadership abilities, preparing them for future career progression within GKN Aerospace. As part of this program they will be part of a global community of graduates and other individuals identified as high potential, with opportunities to network across the breadth and depth of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

A Graduate's first accountability is to gain a sound understanding of their function and its role in the successful performance of the organization, then building on this through successful contribution to supporting day-to-day running of our sites and the wider business.

Graduates will be held accountable for their performance and development on the Graduate Program through working on projects, building relationships within and outside GKN Aerospace and maintaining performance within their team and the wider company. There will also be self-development through graduate events and other opportunities and the organization will support graduates through mentoring alongside their placements.

Specific accountabilities will vary between job families, however all will be responsible for supporting functional and operational teams and their projects, such as implementation of Industry 4.0 or the Lean Operating Model.

As graduates develop their confidence and competence on the program they can begin to take ownership for portions of larger projects under supervision from their placement manager. Placements, and the projects within them, will be dictated by both business need and what is in the graduate's best interest for long-term career progression.
