As a Product Testing Technician in the Research & Development Lab located in Mayville, WI, you will ensure the durability and reliability of Metalcraft/SCAG/Versatran products by qualifying new designs and components through lab and field testing. You will be primarily responsible for daily operation of equipment according to designated test procedures. You will also support the test engineering department in other tasks as needed. FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES are possible. Temporary role for 4-6 months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent assignment.



Responsibilities

  • Operate test equipment according to test plan.
  • Perform and document maintenance checks at specified regular intervals.
  • Fill out daily test log documentation.
  • Report issues to engineering test team.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Must maintain constant safety consciousness.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and without restriction (mowers, lawn equipment, light excavation and landscaping equipment).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have mechanical competency and related experience.
  • Ability to consistently and correctly execute repetitive test procedures over extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
  • Must be detail oriented in communications, execution of procedures, observations and documentation.
  • Must be able to complete daily assignments and make effective use of time to ensure that product testing is being completed within an identified timeline.
