Summary:

The Director of Engineering Facilities Maintenance is responsible for ensuring that healthcare facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to providing high-quality patient care. This role encompasses strategic planning, budgeting, compliance with regulations, and management of maintenance and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1.Oversee the day-to-day operations of all healthcare facilities.

2.Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.

3.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.

4.Manage budgets related to facility maintenance and capital improvement projects.

5.Provide oversight and strategic direction for maintenance staff and contractors.

6.Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects.

7.Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

8.Develop contingency plans for emergency situations (e.g., natural disasters, power outages).

9.Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to align facility management with organizational goals.

10.Manage energy consumption and sustainability initiatives within facilities.

11.Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure all compliance standards are met.

12.Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field required (Master's degree and licensed Architect or Engineer preferred).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
