At the Medical College of Wisconsin, data drives educational excellence. As an Education Database Analyst for Measurement & Evaluation and the Office of Educational Improvement, you'll play a critical role in advancing the effectiveness of our educational programs through meticulous data management and reporting. Your Role in Shaping Educational Success

We're searching for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives on working with complex data systems and is passionate about contributing to the success of educational programs. In this role, you'll support and maintain educational applications, create detailed reports and dashboards, and ensure the integrity of our data. Your work will directly influence the advancement of our academic programs and the overall success of our students by providing data-driven insights and solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and support enterprise third-party education applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with the MCW Education Data Warehouse (Ed DW) team to manage curriculum and student-level data.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations of data to support degree-granting programs.
  • Evaluate and implement new features in educational applications to improve data collection and reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
  • Assist with supplemental data collection for specific projects.
  • Apply MCW's Data Governance practices to maintain data quality and efficiency.




Preferred Schedule:




Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.



Position Requirements:

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • Field of Study in Learning Analytics, Educational Statistics/Measurement, or a related field. (Preferred)

Experience

  • No experience required, but 2 years of experience in an educational or healthcare setting with data analysis, report writing, or data management is preferred.

Skills

  • Proficiency in educational software (e.g., ExamSoft, Oasis, Qualtrics, Brightspace by D2L).
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with Python scripting, and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Knowledge of linked data models, qualitative analysis, and language models.

Traits

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
