Overview:

The Sales Manager of Corporate Accounts leads a team of account managers focused on driving growth, strengthening relationships, and achieving sales and profitability goals with large, multi-location customers. This role involves overseeing the account management process, fostering professional growth within the team, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to corporate clients. The Sales Manager collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategic plans and reports to the Vice President of Corporate Accounts.

CORE RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:



  • Team Leadership: Inspire, lead, and manage a team of Corporate Account Managers to exceed annual sales and margin targets.
  • Strategic Account Oversight: Drive strategic account planning, including setting performance objectives, financial targets, and key milestones for corporate accounts.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, at assigned corporate accounts.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee sales pipeline activities, supporting Corporate Account Managers in identifying opportunities and closing deals.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Develop annual sales and profitability budgets for the Corporate Accounts team and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Negotiations: Lead pricing and contract negotiations with corporate accounts, including managing excess and obsolete inventory agreements at the corporate level.
  • Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure successful project management, VMI system implementation, and issue resolution.
  • Professional Development: Mentor and support the professional growth of Corporate Account Managers, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review account performance and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with goals.
  • Data Analysis: Assist Corporate Account Managers in preparing and delivering Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and utilizing data analytics to drive insights and actions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present monthly status updates on key accounts and team performance to senior management.
  • Travel: Travel extensively to meet with customers and support team activities as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Performance Measures:



  • Achievement of new business sales quotas for corporate accounts.
  • Exceeding assigned sales and profitability targets for designated accounts.
  • Delivery of strategic customer objectives as defined by company leadership.
  • Successful completion of strategic account plans and milestones.
  • Demonstrated growth and development of the Corporate Account Management team.


Qualifications:



  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of account managers or sales professionals.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing large, multi-location customer accounts.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in sales pipeline management and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to travel extensively and adapt to dynamic business needs.


Pay Range: $140,000 - $150,000

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
