JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Dennis Lab at the Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is recruiting a Research Technologist (senior professional) is to assist the Principal Investigator with designing and conducting experiments to the further research goals of the laboratory. This position is responsible for maintaining lab equipment, tracking inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring safety compliance measures so the lab operates smoothly. Additionally, this position handles breeding and maintaining mouse colonies. This position will be expected to develop, design, and submit protocols to ensure the proper care and use of laboratory animals. The selected individual will be expected to assist in developing, designing and conducting parts of research projects. The individual will participate in formulating research methods and identifying and solving problems. They will also coordinate data collection and analysis as well as interpret and present results. The selected individual will also be expected to train users in equipment operation and research techniques, as well as explain and demonstrate technology and equipment capabilities. The individual will also be an author/co-author on papers, proposals, presentations and reports. These responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
