STATUS: PT/26hrs/wk

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Experience in social service setting preferred
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude & an ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds & circumstances
  • Able to maintain a non-judgmental demeanor, using a professional approach and maintaining boundaries with clients
  • Able to handle crisis/emergency services for the homeless and to utilize crisis intervention, crowd management and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to assist clients by effectively working with them for a positive outcome
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be part of a collaborative team
  • Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
  • New Mexico DL with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass TSA fleet safety e-learning module


RESPONSIBIITIES:



  • Ensure the mobile shower unit is orderly, clean, and presentable at all times.
  • Insure client awareness of assistance protocols and limitations
  • Greet and assist clients, ensuring a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all.
  • Thoroughly clean the unit, including showers, equipment, and surrounding areas, before and after use.
  • Stock and maintain program supplies
  • Collect, wash, dry, and fold towels and donated clothing items used in the program.
  • Work closely with the social service team in the reporting of goods given out.
  • Monitor inventory levels for clothing, hygiene kits, and laundry supplies and communicate replenishment needs to the Program Manager.
  • Assist with driving, parking, and positioning the mobile shower unit and towing vehicle. Safely prepare the unit for operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to social services


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
