Construction Superintendent - ADI The Construction Superintendent - ADI for the Electric Delivery Programs is responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating construction activities related to projects, including the installation of new infrastructure and maintenance of existing systems. Oversees maintenance and system outages and provides direction and supervision to assigned supervisors. The Superintendent ensures all activities are performed within the boundaries of authorized company objectives, policies, procedures, plans, and budgets. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide direction of all field projects to ensure proper oversight of contractor safety, quality, work progress and performance, cost and schedule on all assigned projects. 20% 2. Determine contract methodology and manage multiple construction contracts. 20% 3. Provide constructability input during the design phase. 15% 4. Determine supervision and contractor field resource requirements. Review contractor craft manpower to ensure that proper and efficient manpower levels are obtained. 15% 5. Determine and address personnel developmental needs of direct reports. 10% 6. Assist management in developing and maintaining relationships with multiple contacts including existing distribution personnel and management; contractor personnel; construction companies and their senior management; and the local leadership of the union building trades. 10% 7. Assist Construction and Project Management to review and recommend acceptance or rejection of any contract extras while ensuring that all contracts extras/changes are coordinated with the Project Controls group. 10% SUPERVISION RELATIONSHIPS External: Directly interface with Contractors, Vendors, Suppliers, and Engineers. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or related degree. Related Experience Preferred: Experience in heavy industrial construction or project management. Supervisory Experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
