Marketing Manager, Business to Consumer Events

Job Description

Dotdash Meredith is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Marketing Manager for our Business to Consumer events. The ideal candidate will drive attendance and ticket revenue for our world class festivals and events and will be responsible for creating and implementing multi-channel marketing plans to drive attendance and consumer revenue with a focus on the Food and Wine Classics in Aspen and Charleston. They will also work to support B2B efforts for Travel and Leisure World's Best Summit. The Marketing Manager, Consumer Events will have extensive experience promoting festivals and events in order to drive and grow consumer revenue.

The position is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office with the ability to work 2 days remotely.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on strategic plan and agreement on tactics and execution.
  • List planning for targeted B2C campaigns (manage list development, list sourcing, and targeted research)
  • Work with internal stakeholders (editorial and business side leaders) to build external relationships, extend invitations, and build campaigns
  • Coordinate and execute HTML e-mail, direct mail, and social campaigns
  • Leverage social media channels and other outlets (O&O and external)
  • Manage and maintain marketing campaign databases (plan and build marketing campaigns, manage data entry, list management, proofing, data cleansing)
  • Research prospect lists, perform analysis of marketing campaigns, attendance projections, and event audience demographics; manage coordinator to execute projects (email deployment, paid social, etc) project management planning and tracking.
  • Proficiency in the following technologies: CRM systems, Email Automation Systems, WordPress, HTML, CSS

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5+ years direct to consumer marketing experience, preferably for events/festivals
  • Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
    • Strong communication skills for successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Database, email marketing, and paid social experience.
    • Writing copy including invitations, follow up, both internal and external.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
    • Experience with data-driven KPIs, tracking and reporting success.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
