The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Android developer to help us build a next-generation mobile app that will enable our customers to explore their creativity through video.

Our team is a creative and collaborative group building applications that unlock the creativity of our customers. Our Android mobile team is part of the larger Adobe Video organization, building video creation and editing experiences across desktop, mobile, and web. As a member of our team, you'll work closely with our Product and Design teams to build new features and experiences.

We are looking for a hardworking and self-motivated, Software Engineer with demonstrated experience building Android applications. This is an outstanding opportunity for you to join a very early team that is innovating, evolving, and growing our video tools to meet the needs of storytellers!

A successful candidate will be a strong technical leader on this team. You'll make use of your excellent social skills to effectively communicate ideas and influence others. You will own features, provide creative solutions and have opportunities for ownership and influence on product direction. You'll write performant, high-quality code and own development for complex features providing accountability and ownership for everything you do.

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science

• 10+ years of product experience developing apps, including Android

• Proficient with Android Java and/or Kotlin

• Proven ability in crafting and maintaining testable code

• Passion for learning, sharing of new ideas and creative thinking to provide innovative solutions to challenges

• Thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment

• Values clarity and simplicity in code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coding with Kotlin

• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Media3

• Familiarity with GIT

• Experience with multi-threading programming and mobile memory management

• Experience building video and/or multimedia apps

• Familiar with video editing

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
