Job Overview
The incumbent has technical responsibility for HR functions for site operations. Duties span a broad spectrum of HR activities, to include recruitment, training and development, employee relations, regulatory compliance (EEO/AAP), benefits, and report generation.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Under direction of the Project Manager, the incumbent will provide Human Resources support to the site.
- Counsel management/and employees in performance management and interpretation of human resources policies and practices.
- Ensure consistent/ legal employee relations practices using knowledge of employment law in combination with company policy, procedures, and practices.
- Keep supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and trends.
- Provide communication to managers and employees on HR practices and policy changes, benefits announcements, etc.
- Complete employment verifications.
- Compile and review position descriptions for new hires and job postings as assigned; maintain the position description database.
- Create job offer letters.
- Assemble new hire packets and conducts new-hire orientation for employees.
- Create, process, track, and distribute personnel documents (PAN, W-4, direct deposit form, etc.) to Payroll.
- Generate HR reports, spreadsheets and other documentation as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources.
- Knowledge of commonly used HR concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Strong PC skills, with a working knowledge and familiarity with MS Windows applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government National Agency Check (NAC) clearance and/or security clearance if required.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record pertinent to this position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
