SmithGroupis looking for aSenior Technology Project Managerto join our team. This position is ideally located within commuting distance of one of our offices, but remote options can be discussed.

Working with us, you will:



  • Act as the primary point of contact for the ICT team, the owner, Project Architect, and other design team members; coordinates ICT work with other design team members
  • Contributeas a key member of the project design team, bringing a forward-thinking perspective to technology plans and discussions
  • Writestrategic technology plans, reports, design notes and other project communication
  • Contributeto the business development efforts of the ICT discipline.
  • Coordinatewith the firm's Principals and marketing staff with business development activities, including short-list interviews and proposals
  • Engagein programmatic discussions with our clients to determine project goals and requirements
  • Collaboratewith other ICT team members to guide clients through the technology selection process; devise cost-effective technology solutions specifically optimized for the user.
  • Coordinatetechnology drawings with Architects, Engineers and other design team members.
  • Facilitatepre-bid meetings and post-bid review meetings
  • Reviewsubmittals of shop drawings and other project submittals.
  • Performsite walk-through visits to review adherence to standards, procedures and best practices of infrastructure and systems by installing contractors.
  • Ensurethat all work is completed on-time, in-budget, and consistently within ICT's high standards of quality.
  • 5-10% domestic travel may be required.



An ideal candidate has:



  • A Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 10+ years of consulting and design experience working as a Technology Design Consultant and Project Manager.
  • A valid credential in a relevant field preferred including: Registered Communications Distribution Designer, Certified Technology Specialist - Design, Physical Security Professional, Certified Protection Professional, CPTED, PMP, LEEP AP.
  • An understanding of the architectural design process and construction administration.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • An advanced ability to pay attention to detail and formal documentation.
  • The initiative and ability to contribute to process improvements in addition to project work.
  • Experience in marketing and business development.
  • Design experience with audiovisual structured cabling systems, network electronics, and electronic security systems

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range, at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $123,000 to $145,000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
