About the Opportunity: As the EH&S Manager you will ensure that the company complies with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations. This includes developing and managing company policies and procedures for the facility, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Location: Thomasville, GA
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance with all State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations, including occupational safety policies and standards.
- Serve as the primary contact with all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, and reporting.
- Chair the Company's Safety Committee, ensuring cross functional participation, safety audits, documentation and follow-up.
- Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization as well as identification, analysis and control of occupational hazards.
- Responsible for hands-on management of Health and Safety Training programs for all employees and efforts to improve safety performance (compliance and injury reduction).
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Ensure corrective actions to address deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
- Assure that outside services are properly supervised and completed in accordance with contracts/work orders.
- Comply with AS9100, OSHA and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Occupational Safety degree or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field required (manufacturing environment)
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and safety standards
- Proven history with the technical fundamentals of safety management, risk assessment and reduction, including machinery safety, ergonomics, and occupational health.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with strong project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour preferred (CFR 1910).
- Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA/DOT) preferred.
- Prior experience with regulatory agencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Experience in Aerospace industry a plus, including ISO 14001/AS9100
