National SafeCare Research and Training Center in the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development

School of Public Health

The National SafeCare Research and Training Center (NSTRC) in the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development, School of Public Health is seeking a Sponsor Funded Training and Implementation Coordinator (Project Coordinator).


Duties include but are not limited to:

SafeCare Training and Coaching Responsibilities



  • Coordinate sponsored projects related to SafeCare training and implementation.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, including administrators and trainees, as well as with staff and faculty.
  • Attend site preparations to ensure readiness for program deployment.
  • Facilitate orientations and supervisor seminars to prepare sites for SafeCare implementation.
  • Train external customers to build their competencies and achieve SafeCare certification.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure customer success and adherence to SafeCare standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site progress using a web-based portal system.
  • Collaborate with the contracting team to ensure deliverables are met and create reports on site progress.


SafeCare Activities to Advance the Training and Implementation of NSTRC



  • Develop, refine, and test adaptations of the SafeCare curriculum to meet diverse needs.
  • Assist with the development of databases and the evaluation of the SafeCare program's effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement new procedures and policies to enhance SafeCare implementation.


SafeCare Activities to Promote the Dissemination of the Program



  • Engage with prospective sites to communicate the benefits and requirements of SafeCare.
  • Develop and disseminate marketing materials to promote SafeCare.
  • Manage social media posts, represent SafeCare at table events, present at conferences, engage in policy-related activities, and participate in relevant meetings to increase program visibility and engagement.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a High School diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
