Job Summary

The Office of the CTO (OCTO) at Equinix is chartered with driving the technology vision, strategy, and architecture to support the company's overall business objectives. The OCTO team also leads the technical innovation function with a strong focus on software transformation and fostering engagements within software ecosystems and developer communities.

The OCTO team seeks a Chief of Staff to drive and scale cross-functional initiatives that align with the company's strategy and technology vision for Equinix's products and services. The ideal candidate should be adept at driving innovation and transformation initiatives, possess excellent communication skills, and have a bias for action.

This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer at Equinix.

As Chief of Staff, OCTO, you will serve as a trusted partner to the CTO, providing senior executive leadership support and driving technology initiatives in close collaboration with leaders across stakeholder organizations. You will help to develop, drive, and evangelize the OCTO team's vision, objectives, and execution plans.

Responsibilities


  • Provide planning and execution support for OCTO initiatives, encompassing technology, architecture, strategy, and thought leadership

  • Act as a liaison to the executive team and stakeholder Chiefs of Staff to align and execute on strategic priorities, milestones, and deliverables

  • Support internal communications regarding OCTO's priorities, milestones, and OKRs


Qualifications


  • Over 10 years of relevant experience as Chief of Staff or in managing complex cross-team technology initiatives from ideation to delivery

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engagement with stakeholders, including at the senior executive level

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver persuasive senior-executive-level content

  • Familiarity with technology infrastructure ecosystems and trends

  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop deep and trusted relationships across organizations


The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

* San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
