National Architecture Discipline Lead

Imagine leading the architectural design for STV's Buildings Group as the National Architecture Discipline Lead. Joining STV's Buildings Group, you will work closely with national market sector leaders, area managers, and other discipline leads to deliver comprehensive architecture, engineering, planning, and design services. Our market sectors span across aviation, corporate and commercial, education, healthcare, civic/justice facilities, and transportation hubs and stations.

You will have the opportunity to design and develop state-of-the-art airport facilities, create innovative and sustainable office spaces, develop cutting-edge educational facilities, design healthcare environments that promote healing, build civic and justice facilities that serve communities, and design efficient transportation hubs that enhance connectivity.

What you'll be contributing to in this role:

• Project Delivery: Perform quality reviews, designate interdisciplinary reviewers, and support architectural leads in project delivery.

• Business Development: Collaborate on pursuits, proposals, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Discipline Development: Lead hiring efforts, capture and share discipline knowledge, and elevate STV through leadership in industry organizations and publications.

• Time Allocation: Balance your time between external activities such as business development, industry engagement, and client relationships (30-35%) and internal activities (65-70%) such as project performance while growing and developing the careers of our talented architects across the country.

What you'll need to succeed:

• You'll be a Registered Architect and ideally hold membership with AIA / NCARB associations.

• Bachelor's degree in architecture with 20+ years of career experience in architectural design, having held Chief Architect, Studio Leader, Principal or similar titles with a focus on people & operational leadership.

• You will have a diverse portfolio dominated by sizable Building & Facilities projects aligned with our core market sectors.

• High degree of technical expertise on large-scale, complex building projects across the spectrum of design-build, alternate delivery, and P3 delivery with a knack for identifying and bringing the right teams together.

• You won't mind earning frequent flyer points and being available for regular travel domestically to STV Offices and various Stakeholders.
