The Undergraduate Colleges Business Office (UCBO), established in 2012, provides financial, human resources, academic personnel, facilities management, and related administrative services to the undergraduate colleges, which include the Provost offices, Writing/Core sequence programs, academic advising, student affairs, and residence life units, UC San Diego International House, as well as the Council of Provosts (COP). Under the supervision of the Fiscal Operations Manager, this key position serves as the Fiscal Analyst for the Undergraduate Colleges and UCBO. The Fiscal Analyst provides comprehensive fiscal administration for the 8 undergraduate colleges, in a team environment, for approximately 300 + staff, 700+ student employees, 20 + faculty, and student leaders. Working in a collaborative team environment, the Fiscal Analyst t is part of a team that oversees the development and implementation of reporting and data analysis that serves the Undergraduate College and UCBO, administrative cores and academic units. Incumbent is responsible for analyzing business process and financial/accounting problems, developing solutions and reports, validating information and implementing processes to support financial and accounting processes. Collaborate with College units, and c campus partners in building effective reports and troubleshooting data. Incumbent will use campus databases (HR, UCPath, Oracle, etc.) to provide planning, resource management, and reports for UCBO constituents. Responsible for producing and managing ad hoc reports and data requests. Research and analyze previous and current year's financial cost accounting structures, payroll problems, errors and inaccuracies. Provide training in utilizing tools and reports as needed. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Assist Fiscal Operations Manager to provide fiscal-related training to colleges' staff. Lead on special fiscal projects as assigned by the Fiscal Operations Manager. Serve as the back up to the Departmental Security Administrator and Procurement Card Administrator. Participate and contribute to short and long term unit goals.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $63,800 - $111,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $30.56 - $53.45 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
